THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for a pharmaceutical company in Switzerland. The role involves advising on commercial matters, including market access, partnerships, and promotional activities across global markets. The successful candidate will support affiliates with legal guidance and serve as a legal advisor to country leads, providing practical risk assessments for business decisions. Proficiency in English is essential for this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Advise on commercial matters including market access, partnerships, and promotional activities across global markets
2. Draft and negotiate agreements related to product distribution and marketing in regions without local entities
3. Support affiliates with legal input on engagements with external stakeholders such as regulators, payers, and partners
4. Manage legal aspects of sales operations, including contracts with healthcare providers and wholesalers
5. Address and resolve disputes and legal claims in collaboration with relevant parties
6. Act as a legal advisor to country leads, offering practical risk assessments for business decisions
7. Contribute to cross-functional initiatives at the leadership level, particularly in commercial strategy
8. Work closely with senior legal leadership on broader legal and corporate matters
YOUR PROFILE
9. Master of Law and admission to the bar in Switzerland or an EU jurisdiction
10. Minimum of 7–10 years of legal experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on commercial legal matters
11. Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and commercial transaction support
12. Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
13. Independent, well-organized, and proactive, with a collaborative approach to team dynamics
