To reinforce our HQ based in Ecublens we are currently looking to hire one person for the role of:
Master Data Item Specialist
Creation, maintenance of items and their attributes / Item & product lifecycle management
Responsibilities
Item management, creation, and maintenance
Create and reactivate items according to the NIR (New Item Request) workflow.
Define and maintain coding according to established rules.
Classify items according to Oracle configurations. Enrich item information (attributes) and specifications.
Create item structures (BOM – Bill of Materials). Assign items to organizations.
Support the teams for items related questions and problematics. Maintain item statuses and monitor item lifecycle.
Monitor and coordinate the process for new item creation requests and modifications (follow-ups, information/administration).
Write documentation related to the process.
Change management of LEMO products ensuring the steadiness progress of ongoing modifications
Update item information. Modify structures (BOM). Assign items to the correct organizations.
Manage Major Technical Modifications (MM) of products: ensure product compliance with LEMO specifications, international regulations, or customer requests, improve performance, standardise and optimise products and their components.
Opening and follow‑up of Major Modification (MM) files: create and manage tracking tables (matching, scrapping, BOM changes, requests for release of new drawings, etc.). Manage item statuses in the database and update comments to inform (avoid unnecessary launches / unjustified production blocking). Communicate changes to subsidiaries via the LEMO SharePoint site – Product Information. Manage and keep MM files up to date.
Work in collaboration with production sites and headquarters different departments for synchronisation activities related to items.
Change management of other classes of items
Applies to all classes of purchased items (indirect), catalogues, goodies, services): bulk update item information, bulk modify structures (BOM), reassign items to the correct organisations.
Applies to tooling, maintenance, raw materials, chemicals, special waste): bulk update item information, bulk modify structures (BOM), reassign items to the correct organisations.
Work in collaboration with production sites and headquarters different departments for synchronisation activities related to items.
Profile
Degree(s) / Education: technical school or engineering degree.
Experience: in the field of mechanics and/or electronics, plus project management. Experience in Master Data and product modification a plus.
Microsoft Office, ERP (Oracle, SAP, …). Fluency in French and English. Autonomy, rigor, analytical mindset, and team spirit.
