Laboratory Technician m/w/d, Zürich
Our client is seeking a Laboratory Technician (100%) to join our European Competence Center in Freienbach. Our state-of-the-art R&D facility covers the full development lifecycle of structural adhesives-from prepolymer design and synthesis to scale-up, performance testing, and industrial application. In this role, you will contribute directly to the development and commercialization of adhesive technologies supporting e-mobility and sustainable transportation. Key Responsibilities:
* Develop semi-structural and structural adhesives for automotive body and battery applications
* Support manufacturing and commercialization activities in line with DuPont's product commercialization processes
* Independently formulate, mix, and scale up adhesive recipes
* Perform performance testing and characterization according to automotive customer specifications
* Document formulations, results, and project outcomes with high accuracy and data integrity
* Prepare customer presentations and contribute to intellectual property documentation
* Collaborate closely with project leaders, manufacturing, and account managers
* Ensure full compliance with EH&S, safety, and cleanliness standards
* Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Your Profile:
* Completed training as a Laboratory Technician, ideally in chemistry or a related field
* Experience with polyurethane and epoxy-based adhesives is an advantage
* Automotive industry experience is a plus
* Familiarity with project management tools and processes is beneficial
* Self-motivated, agile, and collaborative personality with strong interpersonal skills
* Fluent German is required ; English skills are an advantage
* Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting
