Nanosurf is a fast-growing innovator in the nanotechnology market. We develop, manufacture and market state-of-the-art scanning probe microscopes for imaging and manipulation of surfaces at the nanometer range. We work at the limit of what is physically possible and develop all the mechanical, electronic, optical and software components necessary for best-in-class instruments.
As part of our company's growth and in response to market demands, we are expanding our 'Industrial Solutions' department. This team develops and produces high precision positioning systems for a variety of sizes, supporting a wide range of measurement technologies such as AFM, interferometry, optical microscopes and more.
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support our teams in the development of highly complex measurement machines.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the team responsible for the development of these projects, ensuring delivery according to customer requirements and contractual deadlines.

Activities
1. Define the electrical design of a complete machine.
2. Present and defend studies during project technical reviews, collaborating with customers and internal teams.
3. Create detailed hardware documentation, including specifications and assembly instructions.
4. Collaborate with Product Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, Scientists, and other colleagues in a cross-functional team.
5. Analyze customer specifications for electrical design, assessing risks and opportunities.
6. Carry out electrical designs using EPLAN software, including layouts and bills of materials.
7. Work closely with Software engineers to integrate control logic into electrical structures.
8. Produce functional electrical documentation, including specifications and design documents.
9. Support machine commissioning and fine-tuning, updating documentation as needed.
10. Create and maintain documentation, guidelines, and best practices.
11. Participate in design reviews to improve standards and processes.
12. Share knowledge and mentor junior team members as an expert in the field.
Your profile
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or related field.
2. At least three years of industry experience.
3. Proficient in EPLAN software.
4. Knowledge of actuators, motors, materials, design for manufacturing, mechanisms, and manufacturing technologies.
5. Strong understanding of design fundamentals including safety.
6. Ability to take ownership and work independently within a team.
7. Experience collaborating with technical teams, partners, and customers.
8. Commitment to continuous learning and personal growth.
9. Fluent in English (spoken, read, written); German is a plus.
