Business Development Manager BESS (all) 100%
Join us in shaping the future of Alpiq, where you'll play a pivotal role in achieving our ambitious goals and expanding our BESS flexibility footprint in Europe. We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring, and capable senior business developer to join our Development & Projects team. In this role, you will develop the business case from identifying the business opportunity to transaction closing. You will be the key interface between different stakeholders, managing the business case and preparing the decision-making inputs for SteCo and Executive Board decisions. You will be part of an energetic new team with an exciting growth ambition, with the opportunity to not only execute but also proactively shape the future of our business and contribute directly to Alpiq’s ambitious strategic targets.
Tes responsabilités
1. Managing and executing transactions focusing on BESS
2. Ownership of the business case (opportunity identification, assessment, valuation, due diligence, negotiations and closing)
3. Cross-functional coordination with legal, tax, technical, trading and project teams to ensure smooth execution and internal alignment across all phases of the transaction
4. Developing a robust opportunity pipeline and maintaining a strong business network, establishing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to accelerating acquisition of business opportunities in our core markets
5. Identifying, monitoring and anticipating business strategies, market trends, risks and opportunities
6. Being a part of an exciting growth story and contributing to the success of energy transition in Europe
Ton profil
7. 5+ years experience in a relevant business development/M&A function in the utility scale energy industry or energy fund.
8. Master’s degree in economics, finance, business or equivalent
9. Profound understanding and proven track record in financial modelling, valuation principles, structuring of investment decisions and relevant risk assessments
10. Strong skill and track record in commercial deal negotiation and deal structuring
11. Ability to build trust and relationships in a complex and diverse environment and positive energy to shape, motivate and drive success across diverse teams and stakeholders
12. Ability to prepare and write decision making documents for C-Level audience
13. Excellent project management and communication skills
14. Highly motivated, driven, and results-oriented personality
15. Proficiency in English and German; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous
