Role Overview
You'll be the go-to person for all things finance in the region - covering accounting, reporting, tax, and compliance - while acting as a key link between local entities and the global finance team. This is a hands-on role with strategic exposure, offering the chance to influence processes, support major projects like post-merger integration, and become a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day finance activities for European entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and statutory reporting under IFRS and Swiss GAAP.
* Oversee tax filings (including Swiss VAT) and coordinate with external advisors.
* Act as the main point of contact for audits and regulatory reviews.
* Support payroll oversight and ensure timely reporting for social security and pensions.
* Partner with legal, HR, and product teams on cross-functional initiatives.
* Mentor a local team member and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
* Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a strong technical foundation.
* 10+ years' experience combining public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry roles.
* Solid understanding of IFRS and US GAAP; experience with Swiss tax is highly desirable.
* Background in financial services or asset management; fintech/crypto exposure is a bonus.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
* Strong communication skills and confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders.
* German language skills are an advantage, but not essential.
