Globethics is an international non‑governmental organisation, in consultative status with UN‑ECOSOC, dedicated to advancing ethical leadership and responsible governance worldwide. Building on 20 years of expertise and global trust, Globethics leverages its international network (with regional centres in Asia, Africa, and Latin America) and strategic location of its head office in Geneva to support the civil society, international organisations, private and public sectors in developing solutions to ethical dilemmas – moving beyond compliance towards impactful, values‑driven governance. In its current strategic cycle, Globethics is focused on two areas: Responsible governance and ethical leadership in organisations, and AI ethics and governance.
Purpose of the Role
The Strategic partnership and development manager contributes to the continuous growth of the organisation and the impact of its work, through building, managing, and growing mutually beneficial relationships with partners, donors, and investors, and creating with the organisations’ team new and innovative opportunities with tangible results, nurturing partnerships for sustained success.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and lead impactful engagement with donors and partners.
* Drive innovation in collaboration with the team, through enhancing the organisation’s responses to global trends and challenges in the light of Globethics’ strategic priorities and the fundraising market.
* Design compelling pitches and craft proposals for successful partnerships and resources mobilisation.
* Lead the monitoring and evaluation frameworks to enable effective, measurable and sustained impact for the organisation’s work.
* Manage donor relations and accounts through continuous successful engagement, reporting, and mutual learnings.
* Generate new partnership opportunities and organisational visibility in its related ecosystem, through events, campaigns, coalitions, and public engagement.
* Partner with the management team to ensure timely and high‑quality reporting on projects, and with the Executive director for the global reporting.
* Partner with the communication unit to develop communications of the organisation’s impact efforts and results.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in fundraising, strategic partnerships, and business development.
* Proven stakeholder management skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team and proactively cultivate relationships with a diverse range of partners.
* Proven ability to develop and sustain partnerships and generate revenue through the development of successful applications and resource mobilisation.
* Strong understanding of project and results‑based management with a clear focus on impact and long‑term value.
* Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation.
* Experience and proven knowledge of and network within Switzerland, European, and International philanthropic and donor landscape.
* Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills in English and in one other language.
