Job Description Summary

In our factory in Birr, we produce Generator, Steam turbines and Gas Turbine Rotors to help our customers to provide electrical energy around the world. Our Priorities are on safety, quality, on time delivery and cost.
What impact you'll make
You will be supporting our team in the procurement of Direct Materials related to rotors manufacturing. You will manage the buying process for a given set of goods. You apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications. You impact quality of own work and the work of others.
Job Description
What you will do:
Place and follow-up on Purchase Orders. Manage relationships with suppliers for Purchase Orders execution. Manage problems and schedule changes. Update ERP (SAP)
Work with both direct materials suppliers and subcontractors, confirm order receipt, production status, shipping schedule
Develop and maintain relationship with supplier, ensure documentation is complete and correct (invoice, packing list, certificates)
Support suppliers facing issues with GE Vernova tools (Clear orbit, Supplier connect, Ariba)
Work closely with production departments to communicate delivery dates and solve delivery issues
Work closely with engineering and material planning in case of deviation or non-standard process
Collaborate with others to solve issues. Develops strong suppliers' relationships and serve as the interface between supplier and GE Vernova
Work on the factory and corporate initiatives to improve productivity
Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how own work contributes to the success of the business unit
What You Will Bring (basic Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education or relevant practical experience
Experience in procurement of direct materials and subcontracting activities
Very good level of German and English is a must
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, ERP systems (SAP)
