Automation and Robotics Technician/Engineer
The GIS platform of the ENAC school is seeking an automation and robotics technician or engineer to join their team. The mission of this position is to continue the development of the GIS robotic hall, assist with the use and safety of robotic equipment, and conceive, develop, and integrate homemade equipment with robotic systems.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Robotic and Automation Tasks
2. Development of the GIS robotic hall in collaboration with platform users, including:
* a) Keeping up to date with developments in robot software and hardware that could benefit the GIS platform
* b) Proposing ongoing development ideas and discussing them with the coordination group and directors
* c) Testing new setups and tools
* d) Developing approaches to facilitate robot use by researchers
1. Procurement, installation, and maintenance of robots
2. Operation of a 6-axis robotic arm for manufacturing (programming, control, tool path planning), and training platform users of varying experience levels in equipment usage and safety
3. Development, integration, and maintenance of custom equipment for robotic arms
4. Continuous skills development to meet the needs of the GIS robotic hall
Profile
* Technical CFC or engineering degree
* Experience with industrial ABB robots
* Experience with 3D printing (a plus)
* Experience with 3D scanning (a plus)
* Ability to listen, understand user needs, and provide support and technical expertise to students and doctoral assistants
* Good command of English
