About The Job
Based at Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern, within the F&B department, the Bartender / Barista ensures smooth bar operations, recommends drinks to guests, and supports the team with beverage preparation. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, your duties include:
* Understanding the outlet’s concept and menu, explaining offerings to guests
* Mixing and garnishing creative cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, tea, spirits, beers, and wines
* Operating coffee machines and equipment efficiently
* Preparing a variety of coffee and espresso drinks
* Following recipes and presentation standards
* Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area
* Setting up the bar for daily operations
* Performing cleaning and maintenance tasks
* Ensuring all beverages are fresh and of high quality
Requirements
* Vocational training in upscale hospitality, with 2-3 years of relevant experience
* Expressiveness, open-mindedness, and team spirit
* Strong communication skills in German and English; additional languages are a plus
* High-quality awareness and trend sensitivity
* Good IT skills; knowledge of Infrasys and SevenRooms is advantageous
* Excellent manners, grooming, and positive charisma
* Flexibility for night, weekend, and holiday shifts
