Role Outline
The purpose of the role is to manage defined client accounts independently, acting as the main point of contact for day‑to‑day and strategic discussions. The Senior Client Manager ensures smooth operations, drives strategic initiatives, and creates opportunities for specialists to contribute fully. This role combines leadership, strategic consulting, project management, and financial accountability to deliver exceptional client service and agency growth.
Role Responsibilities
* Act as independent main point of contact in day‑to‑day and strategic discussions for designated clients
* Manage clients regarding efficient work deployment in consideration of client contracts
* Control fee and bonus and align client management based on contractually defined KPIs
* Process briefings and client requests with critical consideration
* Problem solve client issues, knowing when to involve supervisors
* Be a trusted partner, understanding clients’ business, issues, opportunities and objectives to ensure maximum value for agency services
* Work with MD, CD, Head of Investment and planners to proactively develop ideas, strategic proposals and presentations to drive client business forward and generate growth revenue for the agency
* Project manage client communication plans: timelines, budget, execution, reporting, learnings, insights, invoicing
* Oversee processes to ensure smooth financial operations
* Support Client Director with budget planning, forecasting and client requests
* Meet guidance, rules and professional standards for global clients
* Provide proactive reporting of all client activities to clients
* Assist CD in developing a clear annual plan for each account development
* Collaborate across Dentsu and network, using knowledge of products and services to add value
* Review plans to drive greater margin and value through innovation and new ways of working
* Support and motivate internal team to produce best‑in‑class work
* Cross‑sell and up‑sell Dentsu and Merkle services
* Advise clients on holistic media strategies
* Develop clients' media landscape transformation opportunities
* Demonstrate confidence and expertise in all media questions
* Consult and present projects confidently
* Adhere to deadlines and quality standards of documents
