We are supporting our client, a leading Swiss financial infrastructure provider based in Zürich, in recruiting a Digital Workplace Support Engineer (m/w/d). This is a great opportunity for a junior IT professional to join a dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in digital workplace services.
You will be the first point of contact for end-user support, ensuring a stable and efficient IT environment. Typical tasks include troubleshooting password resets, printer issues, and software installations, while collaborating with the central IT team and external service providers. Languages: Fluent in German and English (additional languages are a plus)
What you will do
* Modernize meeting rooms & lead MTR rollout o Assess current state, define standards, select hardware, manage vendors
o Plan and execute rollout including pilots, training, adoption & tracking
o Set up monitoring, support processes, and room SLAs
* Implement workplace standardization & lifecycle management
o Define and maintain client standards (baselines, accessories)
o Optimize end-to-end device lifecycle (procurement, IMACD, refresh/retire)
o Collaborate on Intune/Endpoint Manager, compliance, and software catalog
o Establish documentation and quality gates for consistent rollouts
* Introduce self-service stations for peripherals
o Create user-friendly workflows/kiosks for common items (mouse, keyboard, headsets, cables) o Integrate with ITSM for inventory, approvals, and asset tracking
o Provide quick guides, micro-learnings, and clear signage
* Operational support backup
o Provide 1st/2nd-level client onsite support when needed o Handle incidents/requests in ITSM, perform IMACD, coordinate escalations
* Deputize for team lead
o Support prioritization, stakeholder communication, and vendor management o Prepare status reports, risk management, and decision documentation
o Coach support team and promote continuous improvement
What you will bring
We are looking for a junior IT professional with strong communication skills to support internal customers and resolve issues in the Digital Workspace (e.g., password resets, printer problems, software installations).
Your Profile:
* Experience: 1-3 years in workplace IT or endpoint management, ideally with project exposure (e.g., meeting room rollouts).
* Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and hardware for devices/rooms; familiar with ITSM tools and SLA-driven environments.
* Execution: Ability to plan independently, work in a structured way, communicate clearly, and manage stakeholders/vendors reliably.
* Hands-on: Willingness to step into operational support when needed.
* Flexibility: Open to occasional travel (e.g., cross-site rollouts, vendor visits).
* Soft Skills: Excellent service orientation, reliability, and structured work style.
* Languages: Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.

* ITIL Foundation or similar certification
* Experience with Enterprise-environment

Additional Information:
* We are looking for a long-term collaboration with the possibility of internalization.
* Contract Duration: 12 months, with the option to extend or transition to a permanent (FTE) position
* Engagement: 80-100%
* Start date: 01.12.2025 till 01.12.2026 / option for transfer to FTE role
* Location Requirement: The customer site is located in Zürich.
* Possibility to work from home and On-site Presence: 60% expected in Zürich
* Working Hours: 100% workload, 40 hours per week
