About the Role
The Event Manager plays a central role in bringing the company’s strategy, culture and priorities to life through high quality internal and external events, and clear, engaging employee communications. The role is responsible for the end-to-end planning and delivery of events that strengthen engagement, alignment and reputation, while also supporting internal communications activities that connect employees to leadership messages, key initiatives and moments that matter. Working closely with Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, HR senior leaders and external partners, the role ensures consistent messaging, strong execution and a seamless experience across channels and touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities Include
1. Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination and delivery of internal and select external events (e.g. leadership meetings, town halls, employee events, stakeholder or customer events)
2. Translate strategic objectives into compelling event concepts, formats and agendas
3. Manage all operational aspects of events, including timelines, logistics, vendors, venues, budgets and risk considerations
4. Work closely with internal stakeholders (Corporate Comms, Investor Relations HR, leadership teams) to ensure events support broader business and communications priorities
5. Ensure consistent branding, messaging and quality standards across all events
6. Manage post event follow up, including feedback, learnings and content reuse
7. Support the planning and execution of internal communications for key moments, initiatives and leadership communications
8. Repurpose event content into internal communications assets where relevant (e.g. summaries, highlights, recordings)
9. Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, formats and employee experience.
10. Budget Responsibility (up to CHF 1 Mio per event), autonomously recruiting and leading agencies, liaising and coordinating with venues, customers, caterers, and internal departments (Investor Relations, finance, legal, insurance, marketing, HR, sales, brand managers, chefs)
11. Participant management (including designing of websites, registration tools, apps, as well as planning and launching of communication campaigns)
About You
12. At least 8 years of experience in event organization/marketing or communication
13. Bachelor’s degree in marketing/event management, communications or business administration
14. Proven project management, social and leadership skills
15. Strong organizational skills and service orientation
16. Excellent budget management capabilities
17. Proven seniority to communicate with / consult executives & managers on eye-level
18. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint & willingness to keep up with the constant development of Google Workspace Tools
19. Fluent in English; very good command of German; other languages are an asset
20. Relevant experience in virtual event organization and affinity for modern digital communication tools (mobile app, website content management system, virtual event platforms)
21. Project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
22. Strong negotiation skills while maintaining constructive working relationships
