If you enjoy ownership, steering platform evolution, and contributing to a meaningful mission, this is an exceptional opportunity.This is a full-time, permanent in-house role with attractive home-office flexibility.What you will doLead and grow a small team of SAP Basis engineers (3 members), providing technical direction, coaching, and day-to-day guidanceTake responsibility for the stable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a broad SAP landscape, including S/4HANA and several business-critical systemsEnsure availability, performance, and security across on-prem and cloud-integrated componentsTake part in architectural discussions and help define future roadmap, standards, and technology choicesCollaborate closely with development, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholdersCoordinate and manage external service partners for operations, upgrades, integrations, and troubleshootingOversee key activities such as patching, updates, monitoring, HA/DR, release management, and performance optimisationContribute to SAP-related projects including migrations, rollouts, enhancements, and cloud initiativesMaintain clear documentation and uphold structured change, incident, and problem-management processesWhat you bringSeveral years of experience as a Senior SAP Basis Administrator, ideally with exposure to S/4HANALeadership experience formal people management, acting team lead, or strong mentoring/coordinating responsibilitiesDeep understanding of SAP security, authorizations, system governance, and complianceExperience with modern SAP landscapes, hybrid environments, and cloud-related componentsA hands-on mindset with the ability to take ownership, make decisions, and assert yourself respectfullyStrong communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with technical and business stakeholdersBackground in computer science, IT engineering, or equivalent professional experienceWillingness to support occasional off-hours maintenanceFluent German (C1) and good EnglishWhy this role is attractiveYour work directly supports technologies that improve the quality of life for people with chronic illnessesA fast-growing and modern SAP environment with real influence on architecture and roadmapA leadership role where your expertise shapes the team and the platformHybrid working model (2 days home office after probation) in the Bern/Solothurn regionStrong salary framework and long-term internal development opportunities
