Valais · On-site · Long-term Contract (1 year + extension) · Senior Level · German C1 mandatory · English B1 a strong asset · Full administrative and mission follow-up included via a specialist Pharma/Biotech consulting firm.
Context
A leading industrial company in the Oberwallis region — operating in a regulated pharma/industrial environment — is currently running multiple high-complexity infrastructure projects: new construction, renovation, technical installations, and facility expansions across a major production site.
We are looking for an experienced and autonomous Site Construction Manager (Bauleiter/in) to take real ownership of construction phases from planning through final acceptance — with full responsibility for safety, costs, and quality on site.
This is not a coordination or support role. You run the job site.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and control construction and installation phases — independently and accountably
Ensure compliance with planning specifications, quality standards, and project requirements
Monitor costs, scheduling, and quality throughout the entire construction phase
Safety Management
Full responsibility for on-site safety coordination: drafting, reviewing, and approving safety and installation concepts (SiMoKos)
Conduct regular site inspections to verify safety compliance
Ensure integration of safety-relevant aspects in scopes of work and tender documents
Procurement & Acceptance
Contribute actively to procurement: support submission, evaluation, and award of contracts in collaboration with technical purchasing
Organise and conduct final site acceptance procedures; manage defect rectification within deadlines
Plan and execute smaller investment and maintenance projects within the construction division
Your Profile
Required
Degree as Bauleiter/in, Bauingenieur/in, or Architect — or equivalent recognised qualification
Proven multi-year experience leading complex infrastructure projects (new build, renovation, technical installations)
Solid hands‑on expertise in construction site safety management: SiMoKos — drafting, review, and coordination
Strong track record managing costs, scheduling, and quality with real ownership — not in a support capacity
German C1 — mandatory (working language on site)
Structured, autonomous working style with an ownership mindset
Strong Assets
Experience in pharma, GMP, or regulated food/industrial environments — a significant differentiator
Background in commissioning and acceptance of technical installations
English B1 or above
Proficiency with standard project management and planning tools
What This Assignment Offers
Entry into an ambitious industrial transformation programme with genuine technical depth
International and multicultural working environment
Long-term contract with strong extension potential
Location: Oberwallis / Visp Region — fully on-site

German: C1 — mandatory (working language on site)
English: B1 — strong asset
