About the role
We're seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team and play a key role in shaping our growth.
The position will initially be offered at a 50% employment rate, with a planned increase to approximately 80% starting in 2026.
Your Responsibilities
* Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
* Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
* Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and reporting.
* Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial standards.
* Work closely with the CEO and drive strategic financial decisions.
* Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
* Monitor and manage cash flow, treasury activities, and working capital.
* Analyze financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
* Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiencies.
* Maintain and improve financial dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools.
* Support the implementation of new financial systems, tools, or process improvements.
* Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, accounts payable, and receivable management.
* Assist with risk management and financial compliance in international operations.
Your Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in financial management or a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
* Excellent communication skills in English and German; Dutch is a nice to have.
* Proficiency in accounting software (Odoo) and MS Excel.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
* You have experience working with foreign jurisdictions.
