We're Hiring: Concept Development Engineer – Training Session Support Data (m/f/d)
About the Role
In this position, you will rethink how pilot training materials are created, managed, and delivered. To support this mission, we're looking for a
Concept Development Engineer (m/f/d)
to lead the way in harmonizing and automating training content — including
objectives, scripts, and time-sheets
used across various simulator training sessions.
This role focuses on designing a
future-proof concept
and building
prototypes
that connect modern technologies with existing legacy systems. The ultimate goal? A
unified, automated infrastructure
where content updates are dynamically reflected across all training materials.
Responsibilities
* Analyze existing
training materials and processes
(structure, content, dependencies)
* Develop a
comprehensive concept
for the standardization and automation of training resources
* Ensure
dynamic updates
across all linked materials (e.g., exercises, scripts, objectives)
* Integrate and transform data from
heterogeneous and partially outdated legacy applications
* Identify and evaluate
modern technologies
suitable for a scalable, automated infrastructure
* Build
prototypes
to test and refine the concept iteratively
* Collaborate closely with
training experts, IT specialists, and stakeholders
across disciplines
* Research market tools or platforms that could support or accelerate implementation
What You Bring
* Strong technical understanding in
data management, automation
, and
system integration
* Solid experience handling
complex, heterogeneous data sources
* Ability to
create structured, realistic, and goal-oriented technical concepts
* Proficiency in
Python
(for scripting and prototyping)
* Experience in
agile concept development
and
rapid prototyping
* Analytical mindset with a
structured and solution-oriented work approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills — especially in
interdisciplinary environments
* Fluent in
German (C1 or above)
and English
* Able to provide
proof of no criminal record
(required for aviation project clearance)
Nice to Have
* Background in
aviation training
,
simulator systems
, or
instructional design
* Experience integrating
legacy systems
into modern data workflows
* Familiarity with
data visualization tools
(e.g., Streamlit, Dash, Power BI)
* Knowledge of
scenario generation
,
content management systems
, or
training infrastructure
What We Offer
* The opportunity to shape the
next generation of pilot training systems
* High-impact work at the
intersection of aviation, data, and training innovation
* A collaborative environment with
experts in training, simulation, and IT
* Autonomy to design, test, and iterate your own solutions
* Flexible work options and competitive compensation
