This role partners closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, IT, and Digital teams to ensure planning tools and data support business growth, service, and efficiency across DePuy Synthes. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liOwn and lead the planning systems strategy for the Supply Chain Plan function, ensuring alignment with business priorities and long‑term digital roadmaps. /li liOversee the design, deployment, and ongoing optimization of demand planning, supply planning, and inventory planning systems, including integrations with ERP and upstream/downstream tools. /li liPartner with Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Commercial teams to translate business requirements into scalable system capabilities and process improvements. /li liLead and develop a team of planning systems professionals, providing coaching, performance management, and functional leadership. /li liDrive data accuracy, master data governance, and planning parameter integrity to support high‑quality planning outcomes. /li liManage system enhancements, upgrades, and transformation initiatives, including vendor coordination and project governance. /li liEstablish and monitor KPIs to assess system performance, user adoption, and business value realization. /li liChampion continuous improvement and standardization across planning processes, leveraging best practices and digital innovation. /li /ul h3Education /h3 ul liRequired: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. /li liPreferred: Master’s degree (MBA or MS) in Supply Chain, Operations, or Information Systems. /li /ul h3Required Experience and Skills /h3 ul liTypically 8-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, planning systems, or supply chain digital enablement roles. /li liDemonstrated leadership experience managing teams and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders. /li liStrong expertise in planning systems (e.g., demand, supply, and inventory planning tools) and ERP integrations. /li liProven ability to translate business needs into system and process solutions at scale. /li liExperience leading system implementations, enhancements, or transformations in a complex environment. /li /ul h3Preferred Experience and Skills /h3 ul liExperience in a medical device, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environment. /li liExposure to advanced planning concepts such as scenario modeling, SOP/IBP enablement, and digital supply chain analytics. /li liExperience working with global or multi‑site supply chain networks. /li liFamiliarity with data governance, master data management, and planning parameter design. /li liChange management experience supporting adoption of new systems and processes. /li liStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with comfort presenting to senior leadership. /li /ul h3Other /h3 ul liLanguage: English (additional languages a plus). /li liTravel: Limited; up to 10–20%, primarily domestic with occasional international travel. /li liCertifications: APICS/ASCM (CPIM, CSCP) or similar certifications preferred but not required. /li /ul pJohnson Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
