Welcome to DEKRA Arbeit. For one of our clients based in Geneva, we are currently seeking an Application Support Engineer.
Your Role:
* Provide technical support for business-critical applications, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
* Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve application-related incidents
* Monitor application health, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
* Manage user requests, incident tickets, and problem resolution within agreed service levels (SLAs)
* Participate in application upgrades, patching, and deployment activities
* Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across the support team
Your Profile:
* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 3–5 years of experience in application support or a similar role
* Solid experience supporting enterprise applications and a strong understanding of ITIL practices
* Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting
* Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is an advantage
* Experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is an asset
* Strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities
* Fluency in French and English is required
