Job Overview Lead and develop the mass spectrometry laboratory, ensuring scientific and technical excellence and operational efficiency to advance FK biosimilars development.
Key Responsibilities Develop, establish, and execute mass spectrometry protocols relevant to biosimilars’ characterization and similarity assessment (intact mass, subunits analysis, PTMs, sequencing, peptide mapping, disulfide bridge mapping, etc.).
Support analytical strategy adapted to development phases (early and late) as per regulatory guidelines. Provide expertise to stakeholders and project teams.
Manage instruments’ operations, calibration, maintenance, method setup, and improvements. Troubleshoot instrument and method issues.
Lead method development, qualification, data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation, ensuring compliance with data integrity principles.
Interpret and report results in written and oral formats internally and externally. Review and approve operating procedures and reports.
Plan experiments, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of results according to project timelines.
Support projects by communicating progress, aligning with labs, and escalating resource issues when necessary.
Manage personnel performance and development to achieve goals and maintain motivation and productivity.
Qualification Profile Education and Languages:
University degree in relevant area: PhD + minimum 4 years’ experience or MSc + minimum 8 years’ experience in Biotech/Pharma.
Fluent in English; French is a plus.
Professional Skills and Experience:
Strong background in mass spectrometry for mAb and recombinant protein characterization and method development.
Understanding of monoclonal antibodies, their critical quality attributes, and structure-function relationships.
Experience in peptide mapping, intact mass analysis, LC-MS workflows, and proteomics.
Proven people management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience evaluating and implementing new technologies; Thermo Q-Orbitrap experience is a plus.
