Advanced Vacuum Systems Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our team in the development and maintenance of cutting-edge vacuum systems.
\
As an Advanced Vacuum Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and consolidating complex ultra-high vacuum equipment, instruments, and prototypes for particle accelerators. This includes carrying out technical design phases, participating in projects aimed at upgrading and consolidating existing vacuum systems, and coordinating on-site acceptance tests.

This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering or a related field, with experience in designing ultra-high vacuum apparatus, carrying out technical design of vacuum systems, and leading prototyping studies. You should also have knowledge of surface treatments and thin-film coatings for ultra-high vacuum applications.
\
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience, with proven skills in pressure measurement and residual gas analysis in UHV systems, installation and commissioning of vacuum systems, and knowledge of leak detection techniques and equipment.
\
You will work collaboratively with various teams in charge of other accelerator systems and engineering fields, and participate in regular maintenance, upgrades, and consolidation activities. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, operate, maintain, and consolidate complex ultra-high vacuum equipment, instruments, and prototypes for particle accelerators.

* Carry out technical design phases, including writing technical specifications, preparing drawings, and supervising and reviewing detailed design studies.
\
* Participate in projects aimed at upgrading and consolidating existing vacuum systems, and coordinate on-site acceptance tests.

* Collaborate with various teams in charge of other accelerator systems and engineering fields.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
