Job Description
The Director Pet Nutrition EMEA reports directly to the Global President - Animal Nutrition and Pet and will participate in the Global Leadership team of Pet Nutrition. He/she is accountable for the business and P&L in Europe, Middle-East and Africa for the businesses included in this unit including B2B Pet Premixes and B2C Pet Nutrition.
* Lead the regional pet business managing all commercial operations and manage the P&L responsibility for Pet Nutrition in the region.
* Set and execute strategic goals and annual business plans, profit targets and growth plans for EMEA in alignment with global strategic objectives for the business unit and implement strategies to achieve those plans.
* Identify, elevate brand awareness and increase market share in existing markets and maximize new business development opportunities through various strategies.
* Build, inspire and motivate team members to achieve projected sales and profit plans in line with ADM values.
* Develop and track performance and cost measures that support the company’s strategic direction.
* Oversee and manage every aspect of in-country business development initiatives and ensure assets are managed well.
* Analyze current and potential clients and market needs / tendencies – deep customer understanding
* Collaborates with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Marketing and CD&D to ensure strategic objectives are met.
* Foster strategic partnerships with 3rd parties, joint venture partners, cooperatives and other stakeholders to effectively manage the business.
* Able to identify operational risks and ensure adherence to compliance standards across the region.
Your Profile
* Bachelor/Master Degree in Business, Nutrition, Agricultural or similar industry.
* At least 10 years of relevant business experience in (pet) nutrition with P&L responsibility.
* Successful track record in managing a commercial P&L in an international business setting; ideally with experience in value-added products in food and/or feed.
* Strategic team leadership with proven ability to set vision and formulate effective business plans, developing diverse teams in a multicultural environment.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a track record in effectively managing change.
* Results driven and ability to thrive in high-pace environment.
