Engineering Design and Innovation Manager - Liquid Compounding: Your future position?
As an Engineering Design and Innovation Manager in our Vernier site, you will act as global subject matter expert, coaching project teams and evaluating local experts' competencies. You will oversee the engineering design phase of capex projects, implement standardized designs and equipment for a competitive advantage. By fostering innovation and facilitating knowledge transfer, you will align with COE, operations and functional stakeholders to enhance technical know-how, ensuring robust standards are applied consistently throughout projects for successful delivery at Givaudan.
Main responsibilities:
Design:
Oversee the engineering design phase of capex projects in liquid compounding
Provide support to project teams at each phase of projects i.e. during design, vendor selection, FAT, commissioning and start up phases
If needed, challenge projects and/or technical solution
Standardisation:
Accountable for engineering design standard package in liquid compounding
Accountable for standardized equipment in liquid compounding
Update standards to be consistent and aligned with Givaudan initiatives, programs and functional stakeholders (EHS, QA, Sustainability, Manex, COE OPEX)
Develop and maintain the documentation repository in liquid compounding
Liaise with CoE internal functions as well as IM&S and divisional functions to ensure standards are applied to new projects
Scout and identify innovations related to equipment, fostering step changes that improve operations and sustainability KPIs
Technical Expertise and Knowledge Transfer:
Ensure transfer of best practices from local organization and embed them into standards
Facilitate and resolve areas in need of improvement in liquid compounding by steering the knowledge transfer between the local, regional, global and external resources.
Supply technical expertise to operations and to functional stakeholders. Active participation in global programs
Scout and identify equipment vendors in liquid compounding
Qualify new equipment vendors in collaboration with operations (Manex) and IM&S to reduce our dependency on current suppliers for our core manufacturing equipment.
Your professional profile includes:
MSc in Engineering or equivalent
Expertise in liquid compounding is mandatory
Fluent English level. Other language skills would be beneficial
15+ years in manufacturing engineering, maintenance or plant operations
Experience in the FMCG industry
Capex Project Management experience (field) required Our benefits for you:
