The Analytical Development Biochemistry group, located in Basel, is an integral component of how we innovate healthcare through the invention of differentiated medicines for treating diseases of current unmet medical need. This internship program integrates seamlessly into European-based University degree program and therefore we offer the most talented students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience with us.
In this position, you will
1. Improve current platforms, scripts developed in R programming language, as well as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) implementation of web applications
2. Develop data science-based methods to support innovation projects activities (Using Python, R or similar programming language)
3. Support in modeling using R scripts for quantitative and qualitative predictions based on spectroscopic data sets

Who you are
You are motivated to increase and share your theoretical and practical knowledge on this emerging and exciting field of spectroscopy-based predictors and Google Cloud Platform implementations. You are an enthusiast of new technologies and you easily show engagement with people.
EU/EFTA Students : You are currently enrolled in your Bachelor's or Master's studies within Bioinformatics, Data Science, IT or related fields, or you got your degree after January 2023.
Due to regulations, non-EU/EFTA students: You have to provide a certificate from the university stating that an internship is mandatory and upload it together with your application documents. Furthermore, you have to be enrolled during the entire internship period.
Moreover you are/have:
7. Highly self-motivated and science driven
8. Sociable personality and good communication skills
9. Experience in programming, ideally in R (ideally including R Shiny app), Python, SQL or similar
10. Interest in data analysis of pharmaceutical analytics
11. Experience in Google Cloud Platform is a plus
12. Fluent in English and/or German, French is a plus
