About the Role

1. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our internal control framework and systems.

This includes assisting the Board and Audit Committee by providing an independent appraisal of the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes. You will also be responsible for reviewing the reliability and security of financial and management information, assessing the efficiency of operations, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

In this role, you will work closely with our audit team to develop and implement audit plans, conduct risk-based audits, and assess the internal control framework. You will also be responsible for documenting and reporting progress on planned audit tasks, reviewing findings and weaknesses identified during fieldwork, and drafting final audit reports.

Main Responsibilities

2. Develop and implement audit plans to ensure that all audit objectives are met.

3. Conduct risk-based audits to identify areas of high risk and recommend controls to mitigate those risks.

4. Assess the reliability and security of financial and management information and identify opportunities for improvement.

5. Document and report progress on planned audit tasks and review findings and weaknesses identified during fieldwork.

6. Draft final audit reports and present findings to senior management.

Requirements
">
">
7. A minimum of 5-6 years' experience in internal auditing, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
">
8. A professional auditing qualification, such as Certified Internal Auditor or Chartered Accountant.
">
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to grasp complex technical concepts.
">
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
">
11. A good understanding of internal auditing standards, guidelines, and procedures.
">
12. Able to speak a second European language would be an advantage.
