The AO’s educational events facilitate training and expertise across our clinical specialties such as trauma, spine, craniomaxillofacial, veterinary, and reconstructive surgery. Our regional Education Events teams are responsible for the planning, delivery, and on-site execution of all our educational events.

Main Responsibilities
1. Support event deployment and logistics (pre-, on-site and post- event)
2. Provide operational and administrative support for all related event activities and maintain activities in the event management system
3. Manage event participants for assigned educational events
4. Support the events execution on-site as a backup of the Event Owners
5. Help to facilitate smooth collaboration within Operational Teams (Event Owners and Event Specialists)
6. Manage the collaboration with local agencies / suppliers
7. Act as the cost expert of the events (manage the expenses)
8. Drive invoice handling and P&L reporting
9. Manage CME accreditation
10. Manage compliance approval and data in Concerto
11. Manage event closing for final reconciliation.
12. Assigned event(s) within in the cluster and support in managing the budget for the assigned events
Main Requirements
13. Bachelor degree in relevant field (e.g., hospitality, event management, public relations, communications, marketing) or higher Education “Fachausweis“
14. Proven record of professional experience in event organization or project management (3-5 years)
15. Experience in medical events/course organization would be an advantage
16. Strong organizational-, project- and event management skills
17. Good communication skills and ability to build and maintain relations with Health Care Professional at all levels and broader stakeholders
18. Good problem solving and strong analytical skills as well as proven ability to prioritize task
19. A collaborative, solution-focused approach, ability to collaborate well with others and work cross-functionally across the organization
20. Effective Team player skills through consistent reliability and effective support
21. Knowledge and proven experience of relevant systems
22. Fluent written and verbal English. Knowledge of other relevant languages in the region are an asset.
