We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated FP&A Analyst - Reporting and Compliance to join our dynamic Finance team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for preparing financial analyses, managing forecasting processes across international offices, supporting internal audits, and driving data accuracy in financial reporting. As part of our commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment, this role requires working fully on-site.
Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly actual variance analyses, prior year results, and current forecasts for financial data.
2. Communicate results clearly and concisely to the FP&A and Strategic Finance Manager, and suggest actions based on the assessment of financial performance.
3. Coordinates the forecasting process for all MDPI offices and ensures accurate projections.
4. Prepares reports on financial performance in accordance with MDPI Reporting standards, customized to meet the needs of the leadership.
5. Engages in the internal audit process for all MDPI offices, focusing on financial compliance and performance.
6. Focuses on account reconciliation to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
7. Collaborates with other team members to assist with data validation, report development, process documentation, and other tasks associated with providing accurate data related to decision support and financial performance.
8. Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to support new projects and initiatives related to financial reporting and analysis.
9. Assist in defining and monitoring financial KPIs that ensure costs and revenues are recorded accurately and in line with financial reporting standards.
10. Create and manage Ad-Hoc analyses.
Additional Responsibilities
11. Assist in defining a template structure for financial statement reconciliation.
12. Participate actively in the consolidation of the group’s financial statements.
Requirements
13. Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Business Economics or equivalent; Swiss Federal Certificate in Finance and Accounting is a plus.
14. Minimum 5 years of experience in international financial reporting, audit, or compliance-related finance roles.
15. Fluent in English (C1 level or higher) and proficient in German (B2-C2 level).
16. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft O365.
17. Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools and Power BI.
18. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
