Commodity Price Risk Management (CPRM) is a dedicated team working on how to match hedging activities to pricing activities in order to protect our margins. As a general rule, we seek coverage that protects our margins until the next pricing opportunity.
How you will contribute
1. Provide competitive intelligence from external market, business, industry engagement
2. Formulation of market outlook and price risk strategy (physicals)
3. Coordinate RMM, formulate & prepare monthly RMM & PNOC deck
4. Provide Commodity Economic Forecasts, incl. risk assessment (volatility)
5. Bridge commodity impacts/forecasts/strategies to regional/category/global financial budgets
6. Partner cross functionally with Spend Area to optimize E2E value delivery, incl. support on Productivity in order to meet joint KPI on productivity
7. Collaborate with SA to optimize execution of approved Cocoa Bean and Cocoa Butter strategies & supplier negotiation
8. Support SA on various topics (Blend changes, Washout of contracts, external Financing etc)
9. Coach / Train SA newcomers (various process, vendor approach, way of working, Kiodex, Ofi shared site etc.)
10. Lead market intelligence on Cocoa Butter and Cocoa Bean differential, formulate and propose strategies at PNOC
11. Position control: Global Butter Ratio and Global Cocoa Beans Diffs, incl. managing switch exposure, price fixation
12. Manage switch exposure by maintaining position overview and executing switchess
13. Global Butter ratio & Global Bean exposure
14. Identify commodity risk and establish strategies/tool box to mitigate it (forward price contracts, inventory builds and spot buying)
15. Provide competitive intelligence from external market, business, industry engagement/participation
16. Understand external and competitive landscape
17. Take a strategic long-term view of commodity markets in identifying and developing margin protection/retail pricing opportunities
18. Provide spend area baseline and forecasts, incl. risk assessment (volatility)
19. Partnership cross functionally in defining leading edge spend management and optimized value delivery
20. Build commodity specific strategies in alignment with the spend areas/regions
21. Bridge commodity impacts/forecasts/strategies to regional/category/global financial budgets
22. Execute Price fixations (send EFP orders to broker, files to CMaas to update Kiodex. Trade log)
23. Execution of Switch buying (contract allocations, Kiodex. Rolling of physical Bean position etc.)
24. Strong participation in workstreams
25. Engage in IT System implementation (e.g. Kiodex, Governance Team, Project Quantum)
What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career with experience and knowledge in:
26. University degree (agronomy, engineering, economy, finance)
27. Business experience of min. 5 years in Commodity Price Risk Management
28. Strong knowledge about agricultural commodity markets: Futures and options markets
29. Experience in Cocoa Trading and Research
30. Preferred Experience in the Cocoa Chocolate industry
31. Excellent analytical skills / strategic thinking
32. Dealing with ambiguity
33. Stakeholder focus / informing
34. Fluent English (spoken and written)
No Relocation support available, however for candidates voluntarily moving internationally some minimal support is offered through our Volunteer International Transfer Policy
