Calik Enerji Swiss AG is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to lead the development of financial and strategic risk practices across our international EPC(F) business. Based in Lucerne, the Risk Manager will act as a center of excellence supporting risk oversight across Calik Enerji Swiss AG and its role within the wider Çalık Enerji Group, with a focus on corporate, financial, and enterprise-level exposures. The position will report directly to Çalık Enerji’s Deputy General Manager of International Funding & Investments, who also serves as a Board Member of Calik Enerji Swiss AG.
Working closely with Calik Enerji Swiss AG’s ESG Manager, Legal & Compliance Manager, and Çalık Enerji’s Central Operation Support team, the Risk Manager will provide practical, solution-oriented guidance to enhance risk transparency and resilience across the organization. The role will also support the operating rhythm and effectiveness of the Çalık Enerji Risk Committee.
This is a strategic yet enabling role—meant to inform and guide, not to delay or duplicate decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment and communication skills to help embed risk awareness across business lines while respecting the project-level autonomy and executive authority primarily centered in the company’s headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as key coordinator and advisor to the Çalık Enerji Risk Committee, helping establish its cadence, risk reporting format, and integration of risk insights across Calik Enerji Swiss AG and the broader group.
* Draft committee materials, support follow-up actions, and help institutionalize a robust group-wide risk governance culture—without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.
* Monitor and assess enterprise-level risks including: FX exposure, liquidity risk, commodity price risk, counterparty and sovereign risk, and cross-border compliance risk.
* Provide clear, pragmatic recommendations to senior management and project teams, balancing financial protection with operational continuity.
* Collaborate closely with the ESG Manager, Legal & Compliance Manager of Calik Enerji Swiss AG, and Çalık Enerji’s Central Operation Support team to ensure an integrated and non-duplicative approach to risk.
* Maintain the centralized risk register across Calik Enerji Swiss AG’s activities and EPC(F) projects.
* Develop actionable risk dashboards and key indicators for senior executives and the Risk Committee.
* Conduct scenario analysis, stress testing, and risk-adjusted performance reviews to support major decisions.
* Support the establishment of Risk Workshops ahead of new EPC project executions and collaborate with relevant teams to assess, mitigate, and track project risks in alignment with project owners.
* Coordinate internal and external risk reviews to ensure risk factors are actively monitored and mitigation measures remain effective.
* Interface with DFIs, ECAs, banks, and customers during project financing, delivery, and review processes.
* Engage constructively with project teams and headquarters-based executives to ensure risk is managed in a way that supports—not obstructs—execution.
* Promote a proactive, learning-oriented risk culture that aligns with Calik Enerji Swiss AG’s global ambitions and Çalık Enerji’s agile execution model.
Key Requirements
* Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Engineering, or related field.
* 8–12 years of relevant experience in enterprise, financial, or project risk roles in EPC, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
* Strong command of FX, liquidity, commodity, and credit risk concepts relevant to emerging markets.
* Familiarity with EPC contracting, including risk allocation in EPC agreements and project finance structures.
* Prior experience in establishing or actively supporting the operating rhythm of risk committees, including preparation of agendas, reporting packages, and structured follow-up.
* Demonstrated ability to design and maintain enterprise- and project-level risk dashboards and key risk indicators (KRIs) for senior leadership.
* Knowledge of ISO 31000, COSO, or other international risk frameworks.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to support both C-level reporting and field-level engagement.
* Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
* Collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-oriented—with the judgment to balance control with empowerment.
