Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business across Europe, we are currently recruiting for an experienced bElectrical Construction Project Manager /b to join our Data Centre team. In this role, you will oversee the pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and close-out phases of a hyperscale, state of the art data center project for a global technology client onsite. /ppWith a market leading client base and the opportunity to take the lead on strategic commissions and high-profile projects, this is an exciting time to join the business unit and grow a career with Turner Townsend. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliLead and manage the electrical pre-construction activities, including constructability in design, procurement and contracts, project planning, and budget planning to ensure on-time delivery and high quality standards. /liliLead and manage the electrical construction activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. /liliOversee electrical system installations, including substation, transformers, switchrooms, MV LV, life safety and all electrical related systems. /liliEnsure that the electrical designs are aligned with the overall design intent and client expectations, managing any issues that arise during construction. /li /ulh3Pre-Construction Phase Oversight /h3ulliOversee and assist the design team in constructability and localization in the design focusing mainly on the electrical systems, but assist and collaborate with other disciplines. /liliEnsure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols are adhered to. /liliProvide technical guidance on electrical system installations, ensuring that contract documents and specifications are relevant to the region. /liliPlay a pivotal role in the procurement of contractors and vendors. /li /ulh3Construction Phase Oversight /h3ulliManage and supervise electrical subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring that work is completed to specification and safety standards. /liliFull-time on-site presence to conduct inspections and supervise construction activities. /liliEnsure construction activities are in full compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols. /liliProvide technical guidance and troubleshooting on electrical system installations, ensuring that all work is completed as per the contract documents and specifications. /liliManage health and safety on site. /li /ulh3Commissioning Handover /h3ulliOversee the commissioning process of electrical systems to ensure all systems are fully operational and meet performance criteria. /liliLead the electrical system testing and commissioning process, ensuring all relevant documentation (test reports, as-builts, OM manuals) are accurate and handed over to the client. /liliAssist in the final project closeout and ensure the electrical systems are handed over seamlessly to the client. /li /ulh3Owner’s Representation /h3ulliAct as the primary point of contact between the client and the construction team for electrical-related issues. /liliProvide advice and recommendations to the client, ensuring their interests are protected throughout the project lifecycle. /liliProactively identify and manage risks related to electrical systems and recommend mitigation strategies. /li /ulh3Quality Control Compliance /h3ulliEnsure all electrical work adheres to quality standards and local regulations. /liliReview and approve subcontractor invoices and work schedules. /liliConduct site safety audits and ensure that work is being performed in compliance with all health and safety standards. /li /ulh3Budget Schedule Management /h3ulliMonitor and report on the progress of electrical work against the project schedule and budget. /liliTrack project costs, identifying and addressing cost overruns or delays. /liliEnsure that changes in scope are managed efficiently, with appropriate documentation and approval processes in place. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliA Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus. /liliA minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical construction project management on construction sites, including data center projects. /liliProven experience managing large, complex electrical systems installations and commissioning processes. /liliExpertise in electrical systems commonly used in data centers, such as HV/MV/LV, substations, switchgear, controls, life safety and energy management systems. /liliExperience with Owner’s Representation and working directly with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. /liliStrong understanding of electrical design, construction methods, and systems integration. /liliExcellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting. /liliProficient in construction management software and tools (e.g., BIM360, Autodesk applications, Primavera P6 etc). /liliExcellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. /liliHighly organized with attention to detail and a commitment to quality. /liliAbility to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and manage expectations effectively. /liliClient-focused and proactive in identifying and resolving issues. /liliAvailability for on-site work. /li /ulh3What We Offer /h3ulliExciting work in an international environment. /liliIndependent work with challenging tasks. /liliInternational development perspectives and training opportunities. /liliEmployer-funded pension plan. /liliModern workplace in centrally located offices with good transport connections. /li /ulpWe are looking forward to your application.
