The Global Head of Storage will be responsible for managing the overall third-party storage lease position for Trafigura, which currently has an expenditure of >1B annually.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Experience in the Energy terminals industry
* Strong understanding of market costs and economics
* Deep knowledge of storage logistics, including warehouse management, inventory control, transportation, and regulatory requirements
* Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and make strategic decisions
* Leadership experience in managing high-performing teams globally
* Proven track record of operational excellence in commodity trading
* Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement data-driven strategies for optimal storage rates and locations
* Oversee the Storage Approval Process, data flows, and reporting across business lines
* Create strategic plans for storage operations supporting trading and growth
* Manage storage facilities ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
* Optimize inventory processes to reduce costs and manage market risks
* Collaborate with trading teams on storage requirements and hedging strategies
* Negotiate with storage providers; monitor service levels and costs
* Lead and develop storage teams, fostering continuous improvement
* Stay updated on industry trends, technology, and regulations; recommend improvements
* Report on storage performance, KPIs, and operational insights to senior management
