BACKGROUND
As part of a replacement following a retirement, we look forward to welcoming your application for this role within our Richemont International SA (RISA) Financial team, based in Fribourg.
In charge of our European Payment Factory department, you will play a key role in the continuous improvement of our cash management structures, managing and optimizing payment and receipt flows. You will lead and develop a high performing team, contributing significantly to the overall success of Richemont''s European treasury operations, while maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders such as banks and auditors.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting & Accounting and based in Fribourg, this role will be responsible for the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Treasury team management
1. Lead, manage, and develop a high performing team of 8 people, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Strategic leadership & optimization of the European Payment Factory
1. Develop and implement the strategic direction for the European Vendor Payment Factory, aligning with Richemont''s overall treasury strategy and objectives.
2. Analyze and improve vendor payment processes, identifying and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
3. Oversee the netting process, optimizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
4. Manage and optimize the technology and systems used in the European Payment Factory.
5. Work with core banking partners, in collaboration with Group Treasury, to establish and optimize cash management solutions, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
Operational Management & Risk Mitigation
1. Ensure the security of vendor payment flows, the processing of settlement caigns, identifying and resolving anomalies and rejections.
2. Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks associated with vendor payments, including fraud prevention and compliance breaches.
3. Ensure full compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal controls.
4. Provide regular reporting and analysis on key payment factory metrics, including payment volumes, processing times, costs, and error rates.
Financial Planning & Support
1. Manage, review,
