Transforming Healthcare with User-Centric Design
The Roche Diagnostics Global Customer Experience and Solution Design Team (CXSD team) seeks a passionate Senior Human Factors Engineer to redefine Roche's User Interface and Product design. This role will play a key part in the development of next-generation medical devices that diagnose critical diseases.
As a Human Factors Engineer, you will lead and document studies aimed at providing insights for the development team to improve design and provide objective evidence that design outputs meet all requirements.
* You will be the voice of patients and Roche users in product-related discussions, identifying user profiles, tasks, hazard-related use scenarios, usability risks, and requirements.
* Translate UX research insights into pleasant and efficient User Experiences, creating medical device usability deliverables according to IEC 62366.
* Create and facilitate workshops with product teams to gather system-level information and coordinate design deliverables.
* Plan formative and summative usability studies, coordinating external suppliers in the process.
* Prepare, maintain, and review Usability Engineering Files, advocating for accessibility, quality, and usability for end-users.
You will work closely with an international group of designers who serve the purpose of bringing customer voices to Roche's core decisions, designing a seamless patient-centric experience across products and services.
This position is ideal for a seasoned Human Factors Engineer with expertise in both Hardware and Software Usability Engineering for Medical Devices. The successful candidate will have over 5 years' experience in applied Human Factor Engineering and Design Control Management, as well as knowledge of the IEC 62366 standard and the latest FDA guidance on applying human factors engineering.
