Key Responsibilities
Are you a quick learner who can work in a structured and precise manner even in stressful situations? Do you also have experience in a similar management position in the luxury hotel industry and are you very familiar with Opera? You have strong sales skills, communication skills, and good people skills.
We are looking for a dynamic leader to head up our Groups & Events team, starting immediately or depending on availability.
This position involves the following tasks:
* Responsibility for the organized and effective management of the Groups & Events department.
* Preparation of monthly forecasts in collaboration with the Reservations & Revenue Manager
* Independent handling of events
* Working closely with the relevant departments, such as Front Office, Reservations, and Food & Beverage.
* Providing customer service at events.
* Preparing quotations, processing contracts, and invoicing.
* Inducting, training, motivating, and supporting employees and colleagues to ensure quality standards are maintained.
* Managing the Groups & Events team of 2 people.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
For this challenging role, you have:
* A completed training program and/or degree in tourism or hospitality
* Several years of professional experience in a similar position in the luxury hotel industry
* Commitment, resilience, and flexibility
* Very good written and spoken German and English skills and, ideally, good Italian skills
* As an organized person, you are independent and enthusiastic
* You enjoy taking on responsibility and working in a team
