Starmind is revolutionising how enterprises in the DACH region manage and leverage their most valuable resource: organisational knowledge. Our AI-driven platform bridges the gap between questions and expertise, significantly reducing the time teams spend searching for answers and enhancing productivity. As the Sales & Implementation Engineer, you’ll be the technical expert responsible for ensuring our customers implement and integrate our platform effectively, securely, and with long-term value in mind. Sitting at the intersection of solution architecture, advanced support (second and third line support), and technical operations, this role is critical to our customers' success.

You’ll partner closely with the Customer Success Director (strategic lead) and Customer Success Manager (operational owner), stepping in once success criteria are clear. From there, you're in the driver’s seat—owning technical rollouts, integrating SSO and APIs, setting up data pipelines, and building out custom connectors. You’ll gather requirements, test feasibility, collaborate with our developers and partners, and tackle the tricky edge cases that really matter.

This role is perfect for someone who gets a buzz from building things properly from the ground up. Our technical documentation, processes, and integration templates are still maturing—so there’s plenty of room for you to define what great looks like. You’ll shape scalable approaches, create the foundations for others to build on, and become the technical backbone of how we deliver value post-sale. No direct reports (yet), but this is a path that leads to team-building if that’s where you’re headed.


What you’ll be doing

Take the lead on technical discovery calls; understand customer systems, infrastructure, and the nuances that will impact delivery

Design secure, scalable solutions tailored to each customer

Be the translator between business priorities and technical implementation

Implementation & integration

Own the rollout process from start to finish: scoping, config, testing, go-live, and support

Act as the technical lead during onboarding and beyond

Resolve issues proactively, whether it’s a config quirk, an API hiccup, or a deeper platform behaviour

Partner with Engineering and Product when escalation is needed

Build the engine room

Create clear, reliable documentation and rollout materials that others can run with

Spot inefficiencies and fix them tools, templates, whatever helps us move faster and smarter

Train Sales and Success teams to handle the basics and know when to call you in

Data & reporting

Set up data pipelines and reporting that surface real insights, not just noise

Build SQL reports and lightweight automation to streamline reporting workflows

Make sure customers are getting exactly the data they need; reliably and securely

Collaborate across the business

Work with Sales to validate technical feasibility during pre-sales

Support Success on rollouts, blockers, and opportunities for expansion

Feed actionable insights to Product & Engineering based on what you see in the field

Scale what works

Define what the technical implementation function should look like as we grow

Shape how the team evolves and what capabilities we’ll need

Lay the groundwork for future leadership; whether or not you want to take that path yourself


What you bring

4+ years of hands-on technical implementation, integration, or solution engineering in a SaaS environment

Experience working directly with enterprise customers; solving problems, not just taking notes

You've built frameworks, docs, or processes from scratch in a scale-up or high-growth context

Clear communicator who can switch between technical detail and business impact without losing either

Comfortable juggling multiple projects and knowing when to dig in vs when to delegate

Business-level fluency in German and English

Strong grasp of enterprise security concepts like SSO, provisioning, and data protection

Experience supporting or enabling internal teams to handle first-line technical queries


Your toolkit

Core technical skills:

APIs (REST, OAuth2.0, Postman, JSON)

Containerisation and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes

Confident on the command line (Unix/macOS environments)

Nice to have:

Experience with AI/ML tooling or data platforms

Familiarity with Postman, JIRA, Git, and related tools

Certifications like AWS Architect, PMP, or ITIL

Comfortable navigating InfoSec and IT compliance conversations
