The Opportunity
An established international manufacturing business with a strong market position is seeking a senior procurement professional to lead key raw material categories. The organisation operates on a global scale and places significant strategic importance on procurement, with continued investment in sourcing excellence, supplier partnerships and cost optimisation.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role with a strong focus on frequent supplier engagement and negotiation in a commercially driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead global sourcing strategy across multiple chemical raw material categories
* Manage frequent supplier negotiations to drive cost improvements and ensure supply continuity
* Deliver cost optimisation through benchmarking, RFQs and supplier development
* Develop and execute multi-sourcing strategies, including identification of new suppliers
* Enhance supply security through risk mitigation and supplier strategy
* Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and production teams to influence material and supplier decisions
About You
* Strong negotiation skills, particularly within complex and challenging markets
* Experience managing international supplier portfolios
* Ability to build strategic supplier relationships and manage risk in competitive and limited supply markets
* Analytical approach with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
