The Vendor Database Administrator helps select a number of linguists as well as build strong relationships between them and the IQVIA Translation Services team. He/she will be part of an international team of dedicated language experts delivering high-standard translation services. The Vendor Database Administrator enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and is a strong team player and communicator who always remains result-oriented. Outstanding networking skills as well as data and information management skills will allow this person to play a key role in the effectiveness and success of IQVIA Translation Services operations. The Vendor Database Administrator will share information with Vendor Managers, the Operations Director and the Head of Operational Excellence as well as with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
Responsibilities
Be a trustworthy and hands-on contributor to the delivery of translation time and cost effectiveness
Manage relationships with existing linguists, help evaluate additional linguists and keep all linguists engaged with IQVIA Translations Services
Work closely with Vendor Managers, Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and Junior Project Managers to keep profiles of linguists up to date at all times, including performance metrics
Help identify and close resource gaps proactively as well as drive the recruitment of new resources in line with project assignments and business objectives
Help test resources as needed
Work closely with Vendor Managers to support day-to-day activities
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven experience managing databases, contracts and payments of suppliers is a must
Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills are a must
Continued attention to detail and accuracy is a must
Proven experience working across cultures, languages and functions is a strong asset
Proven experience in project management, including analysis of risks, benefits, priorities and trade-offs is a strong asset
Fluency in one or more non-English languages is an asset
Experience working in the language services industry is an asset
Proven experience working with a large number of projects and large amounts of data simultaneously is an asset
A sound understanding of translation and localisation processes and workflows is beneficial
Organisation and self-motivation with strong time management skills and ability to independently handle a variety of requests at the same time and work well under pressure
Ability to deal with ambiguity and change effectively and constructively
Minimum Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree, ideally in a linguistic, business or HR field or at least 4 years of experience
