As the video editor, you will transform detailed scripts into visually engaging 4K episodes, ensuring each video maintains an authentic and scholarly tone. Your expertise will be crucial in integrating classic static maps, historical photographs, and relevant footage to accurately illustrate troop movements, trade routes, and territorial changes. The role requires a keen eye for detail, consistent color grading, and the ability to deliver polished, professional content on a weekly basis.
Responsibilities
Edit scripts into compelling 4K history videos, focusing on accuracy and visual clarity
Integrate static maps, photographs, and footage to illustrate historical events
Apply subtle zooms, movement effects, and tasteful transitions to enhance viewer engagement
Ensure all imagery, music, and sound effects are properly licensed or royalty-free
Deliver a polished 4K master (ProRes or high-bitrate H.264) and organized project files (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut)
Maintain consistent color grading and clear onscreen text throughout each episode
Meet weekly production deadlines and communicate progress effectively
Skills And Requirements
Proven experience editing history-related or educational video content
Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut
Strong ability to source and integrate high-quality, royalty-free imagery and audio
Demonstrated skill in map integration and visual storytelling
Excellent attention to detail, especially with timing and transitions
Ability to deliver organized project files and polished final masters
