Role and responsibilities
Join our team to help shape the next generation of Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) systems. You will work hands‑on with high-end instrumentation, collaborate with international researchers, and apply your physics expertise in real-world scenarios.
Your tasks:
* Develop, optimize, and test AMS systems and related equipment
* Calculate and simulate ion optics for particle systems
* Perform on-site commissioning and acceptance testing worldwide
* Train customers on the use of AMS instruments
* Provide technical support
* Represent Ionplus at scientific conferences
* Write scientific publications and technical documentation
Qualifications and Skills
* PhD in Physics, preferably in ion beam or particle physics
* Several years of professional experience, ideally with AMS or ion optics
* Strong communication skills and willingness to travel
* Fluent in English; German is an asset
