Job Title: Epidemiology intern (2 positions available)
Johnson & Johnson seeks two epidemiology interns in Switzerland to contribute to research across oncology, immunology, and neuroscience. The internship supports the drug development process through literature reviews, real‑world data analysis, and regulatory document development.
Position Overview - Tasks & Responsibilities
• Review literature and other sources (incidence and prevalence) for assigned cancer tumor types, leading the literature review using AI‑based tools.
• Contribute and align epidemiology sections of varied regulatory documents in the drug development process.
• Identify fit‑for‑use real‑world data in internal & external sources, assess feasibility, and analyze secondary data (e.g., European RWD networks, U.S. health insurance claims, electronic health records, cancer registry data).
• Define phenotypes and cohorts, collaborate with analysts, and use in‑house standardized tools for federated RWD analysis.
• Continue development of AI‑based RWD search and repository tools.
• Participate in discussions to contextualize and interpret findings, and engage in departmental events such as educational webinars, team meetings, and networking activities.
Qualifications – Education and Experience
Master's or Ph.D. in epidemiology, public health, or a related field.

Strong literature review experience.
Experience analyzing secondary real‑world data.
Good understanding of epidemiology study designs and analytical methods.
Experience using AI tools.
Strong interest in oncology, immunology, or neuroscience research.
Strong interest in pharmaceutical research.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and networking skills.
Fluent oral and written English; presentation skills.
Valid Swiss work permit until February 2027.
