Responsible for the contractually defined execution of Facility Management services in the buildings, infrastructure, and sites at Novartis Headquarters, CH, Basel Campus (65 buildings, approx. 8,500 employees), Rotkreuz, and Geneva. Support to evaluate business objectives and targets, including asset management and additional costs for third-party providers outside the scope of the contract. Assist in the development of investment/expenditure projects for building/infrastructure renewal.
About the Role
Major accountabilities:
* Manage and govern third-party service providers, ensuring quality, frequency, volume, and cost standards are met.
* Develop innovative short- and long-term business strategies to enhance quality, productivity, customer service, and cost efficiency.
* Oversee vendor and contract management, procurement activities, and cost, quality, and contract bundling where applicable.
* Ensure safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Resolve operational and equipment issues promptly and effectively.
* Implement standards, metrics, and track performance of operations and services.
* Manage site utility operations and ensure business continuity and contingency planning.
* Drive continuous improvement in Facility Management areas of operational excellence.
* Extensive experience in pharmaceutical facility operations.
* Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in biotechnology and pharmaceutical facilities and maintenance environments.
* Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and other regulatory standards related to facility operations.
* High-level understanding of facility/utility operations from a strategic and financial perspective.
* Knowledge of facilities, building, and utility-related services.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the Pharma and Biotechnology industry.
Languages :
* Proficient in written and spoken German and English.
