Overview
R&D Mechanical Engineer - GIS Development 80 - 100% (f/m/d) at Hitachi Energy. Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. Our Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS) unit, based in Zürich-Oerlikon, develops and produces gas insulated switching systems, using state-of-the-art development tools and methods to ensure high reliability.
Responsibilities
* Elaboration of innovative product solutions following standards, design rules, guidelines, and internal processes
* Execution of design work by means of 3D creation and mechanical simulations
* Collaborate with globally distributed partners, e.g., product Management, Supply Chain Management, Production Lines and R&D Centers
* Execute technical product documentation by means of reports and instructions
* Prepare suitable and novel technologies in the field of mechanics for product development by means of collaboration, elaboration and conducted tests
* Analyze and solve interdisciplinary problems in test laboratories and in production line
Your background
* You hold a Mechanical Engineering degree with strong background in mechanical simulations
* Experience and interest to work with 3D CAD design, ERP and PLM software and tools
* Project management and good communication skills to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
* Hands-on, creative, independent, and solution-oriented professional
* Ability to perform and supervise mechanical simulation activities
* Knowledge regarding quality, reliability and/or manufacturing / assembly is a plus
