This role centers on developing and executing a comprehensive online marketing strategy for the premiere of an independent feature film at the Victoria Theater in San Francisco. The film, Reality Games, delves into timely topics such as disinformation, deepfakes, and the societal impact of the internet, targeting Gen‑Z and a wider audience. The position involves building a strong brand presence, engaging Bay Area audiences, nurturing social media communities, and driving ticket sales through organic content, SEO, and influencer outreach. You will leverage creative assets, behind‑the‑scenes footage, and historical content to maximize engagement and audience participation before and during the film’s release.
Deliverables
Develop and implement an online marketing plan tailored to the film’s themes and target audience.
Create, schedule, and manage engaging content across social media platforms.
Grow and nurture the film’s social media following, focusing on organic reach and community engagement.
Retarget invited groups and existing followers to maximize event attendance.
Collaborate with influencers and partners to amplify campaign reach.
Monitor and analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
Support audience feedback collection through social listening and interactive content.
Advise on paid advertising, content editing, and street team initiatives as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience in digital marketing, preferably within film, entertainment, or event promotion.
Strong understanding of organic social media growth, SEO, and content marketing.
Ability to create compelling content and adapt messaging for different platforms.
Experience with influencer outreach and community engagement strategies.
Familiarity with analytics tools to track and optimize campaign performance.
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Knowledge of the Bay Area audience and local event marketing is a plus.
Availability for part‑time, contract work leading up to and during the film’s premiere week.
