As a Senior GL Accountant, you will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. You will lead month-end closing processes, financial reporting, and compliance efforts, supporting the strategic goals for the company.Key Responsibilities:• Oversee daily general ledger accounting functions with precision and integrity.• Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with company policies.• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.• Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports to guide management decisions.• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation.• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.• Provide insightful financial analysis to support business strategies.• Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the oil and gas sector.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;• Brevet federal, CPA or ACCA preferred.• 8 years minimum of progressive accounting experience ideally in the oil and gas industry.• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards.• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP is mandatory.
