In this role, you will directly contribute to Deposition Engineering organization success.
This is a full‑time position based in Lausanne under a fixed‑term contract of 18 months extendable up to 24 months.
Desired start date on July 1st, 2026.
What You’ll Do Operate and maintain complex test equipment
Conduct guided experiments following rigorous procedures
Extract and store signals from industrial interfaces
Analyze and visualize data
Document results and present findings to internal stakeholders
Program and maintain test stand software
Prototype control algorithms and support transfer to embedded firmware
Package microelectronics in a cleanroom environment
Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in engineering or related technical field (electrical/mechanical engineering, computer science, microtechnology, materials science, applied physics)
Experience with Python or MATLAB
Fluent in English; working proficiency in French
Willingness to learn, work hands‑on, and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and worldwide environment
Structured, rigorous working method and strong analytical mindset
Ability to work in a cleanroom
Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications Projects with numerical Python combining databases such as MongoDB
Embedded software development in C/C++
Prior product design and technical engineering experience is beneficial
Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining automated semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On‑site Flex and Virtual Flex. ’On‑site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1–2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
