Your missionSimulate and evaluate mission scenarios using flight mechanics and performance models.Assess aircraft performance, efficiency, and operational limits across the flight envelopeAnalyze flight test and simulation data to evaluate aircraft behavior, energy consumption, and mission KPIsSupport the development of mission planning tools and flight envelope visualizationInterpret results from flight dynamics models (e.g., FlightLab, MATLAB) to extract actionable insightsTrack and manage aircraft mass properties using a structured weight breakdown, including weight maturity (Estimated / Calculated / Actual) and center of gravity calculations.Identify and provide relevant performance and dynamics data to support FCS and autopilot functions, including:Performance limits and operational boundariesMass properties and aircraft configurationsAerodynamic and stability-related characteristicsEnsure consistency between flight physics models, mission analysis, and control system needsSupport simulation-in-the-loop (SIL) and integrated validation activitiesContribute to trajectory optimization and contingency scenario definitionDocument assumptions, analyses, and recommendations for system and mission improvementsYour profileMSc in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.Strong understanding of flight mechanics and aircraft performance.Experience with flight simulation and analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, FlightLab, XPlane or similar).Solid skills in data analysis and scripting (e.g., MATLAB, Python).Ability to interpret and work with simulation models and engineering data.Understanding of flight control system principles and data needs.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Language:Good language skills in English (oral and written). German desirable.Eligibility:Swiss or EU citizens only.Location:On-site in Näfels | Bilten, Switzerland.
