Microsoft D365 Functional Consultant Purchasing As a D365 Functional Consultant specializing in Purchasing, you will take the lead in shaping and delivering end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-driven consultant who thrives on cross-functional collaboration and enjoys translating complex business needs into smart, scalable ERP solutions.
YOUR CHALLENGES
In charge of project deliverables related to Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes in Microsoft Dynamics 365
Act as the main responsible person and project manager for this area
Handle projects throughout the entire lifecycle: from initial brainstorming and solution design to implementation, documentation, and end-user training
Identify business needs, develop concepts, and translate them into scalable solutions
Configure the D365 environment and provide detailed requirements to the development team
Collaborate closely with cross-functional streams such as Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, and Master Planning to ensure an integrated solution
Request for Quotation (RFQ)
Purchase Order (PO) management
Price setup and management towards suppliers
Setup and maintenance for supplier interaction
Workflow for confirmations, delivery schedules, and communication
Define and manage subcontracting scenarios
Monitor material flow to and from subcontractors
Collaborate with warehousing teams for goods receipt processes
Align procurement with warehouse planning and space management
Integrate subcontracting with in-process manufacturing
Support scenarios where partial assemblies are done externally
Setup and streamline multi-legal-entity purchasing flows
Ensure alignment with intercompany sales orders, pricing, and invoicing
Support planned purchase order creation via Master Planning
Coordinate with production and supply chain teams
Manage stock reservations and shipment of materials to subcontractors
Track usage and reconciliation
Support creation of Microsoft Power BI reports related to procurement, supplier performance, and P2P KPIs
YOUR COMPETENCIES
Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Functional Consultant (min 3 years) focused on Procure-to-Pay
Solid understanding of intercompany procurement and subcontracting processes
Experience with D365 cross-stream process integration, especially with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Master Planning
Minimum 3 years of experience managing international or intercompany D365 projects
Demonstrated experience in leading workshops and coordinating across global business stakeholders
Capable of balancing strategic vision with tactical execution
Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to shifting priorities
Strong analytical skills, with ability to document and model processes
Works independently and takes initiative in driving results
Business Analysis and Requirements Engineering experience
Strong communicator and effective team collaborator
Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is a plus
