Regional Sales Manager MENA
Drive Growth in a Strategic Defense Market
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is investing in modernization of armed forces, regional security, and long-term technology partnerships. MENA offers opportunities for defense companies that bring innovation, reliability, and trusted collaboration. This position will cover the governmental market of Algeria selling soldier electro-optics and the industrial demand for technology bricks and modules mainly in KSA, UAE and Egypt. The introduction of SAFRAN products and partnerships in the region are expected to bolster growth. We are looking for a motivated and ambitious sales manager based in Switzerland but ready to travel frequently to the region.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING KEY ACTIVITIES:
Secure orders from governmental (Mission Solutions) and industrial customers (Ultisense)
Develop markets together with domestic liaison organizations
Identify and build relationships with key customers
Conduct trainings and product demonstrations
Understand and develop customer requirements
Manage and negotiate RFIs, RFQs, tenders and related contracts
Develop marketing strategies to address different markets and boost SAFRAN’s brand
Participate in exhibitions and conferences
Support, evaluate, develop and improve industrial partnerships
Job Requirements
Ideal profile
Familiar with the MENA region and understands its defense market from prior roles
Very familiar with Arabic culture or Arabic heritage
Strategic thinker with a proven record in government sales of high-tech products and systems
Able to navigate complex stakeholder structures
Technical background; enjoys end-user applications and technical negotiations (sensors, electronics, software)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with intercultural awareness
Engineer with sales/marketing education and minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge in trade and contract law is advantageous
Team player who collaborates across SAFRAN Vectronix and the Safran group
Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory; German, French, or other languages beneficial
Willingness to travel; open to extended stays in the region
