Quality Engineering Role Overview
* Job Description
1. We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer - Electronics to lead our efforts in ensuring and continuously improving the quality of purchased parts throughout the entire product lifecycle.
2. This role is responsible for managing and monitoring the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process at suppliers for new developments and changes, as well as participating in the supplier selection process.
Responsibilities
* Manage and monitor APQP process at suppliers for new developments and changes.
* Participate in the selection and evaluation of suppliers.
* Support Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (D-FMEA) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes, including documentation and follow-up of actions.
* Evaluate and approve inspection equipment at the supplier, such as Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
* Plan and execute process and production approvals at the supplier for components/assemblies.
* Execute PPAP for prototype and change parts.
* Review safe launch concepts and ensure series production readiness of components.
Requirements
* Techncial education or degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
* Several years of experience in supplier quality or quality engineering.
* In-depth knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing, electronics assembly, soldering processes, and reliability testing.
* Familiarity with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and APQP/PPAP standards, as well as quality tools like 8D and 5-Why.
* Independent and solution-oriented working style, analytical thinking, and systematic approach.
* English skills at C1 level, German at least B2, and intercultural competence.
