Therefore, joining as one of the first 70 permanent employees provides you great opportunities for growth in responsibilities and impact. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 pAs a Principal/Senior ML Scientist, you will research and collaboratively build computational solutions to real‑world problems in our domain: a continuous non‑invasive multi‑biomarker monitoring smartwatch. Your work involves acquiring and smartly combining deep multi‑disciplinary knowledge (biophotonics, biomedical, microfluidics, electronics, and manufacturing). /p h3Your profile /h3 ul liMaster's / PhD degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Operations Research, Biomedical Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent algorithm development experience. /li liDemonstrable capacity to digest scientific literature effectively, including cross‑disciplinary domains. /li liHigh attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities, being comfortable in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment. /li li5+ years of experience in writing computational software working with at least one compiled and one interpreted language such as Python, Julia, Java, or C++. /li li3+ years of experience in ML frameworks (e.g. Pytorch, Tensorflow, Jax), custom model development, and stochastic optimization. /li li3+ years of experience in industry or applied environment. /li liThorough understanding of the linear algebra, probability theory, and calculus underlying machine learning methodology. /li liThe following qualifications are a plus: ul liExperience with transformer architectures, self‑supervised learning, and foundation models. /li liExperience with training and optimizing machine learning models for time series data (e.g. health signals, audio, video). /li liExperience in analyzing -omics data. /li liExperience in optics or photonics. /li /ul /li /ul bIMPORTANT: We cannot sponsor work permits for non‑EU / EFTA nationals for this role.
